Bristol Marina, company history and boat yard

Bristol Marina has been in operation since 1980 and during this time we have constantly updated and improved our facilities. These improvements include a new launderette, site security fences and cameras, new fuelling berth and, soon to be completed, a new pump out station.

Bristol Marina, owners project in the working yard

We feel that we are not just a marina, we are very proud that we also have a full working boat yard which is becoming increasingly rare these days. In the boat yard owners are able to repair, fit-out or even build their own boats using their own skills or utilizing independent contractors. There is limited availability of a covered workshop. Being in the centre of a large city such as Bristol makes it easy to obtain specialist parts or skills.

Customers new-build and refit projects include a replica 40ft steel 'Looe Lugger' which is now afloat and has undergone sea trials.
Ex MFV 'Courageous' which has undergone an extensive refit is now ready for sea.
The 50ft Schooner 'Whydah' built here from scratch is now in operation as a charter yacht.
A new construction 58ft replica Dutch Barge is also now complete.

Our Marina staff have been involved in the marine trade for a great number of years, and are sympathetic to the needs of our berth holders. Great care is of course exercised when handling or lifting customer’s vessels.
